Louise I. Webster, age 90 of White Cloud, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2001 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. She was born on June 16, 1910 in Big Prairie Township to Earl and Minnie (Goebel) Duston and married Ralph Webster on June 17, 1929 in White Cloud. Ralph preceded her in death on December 16, 1982. She has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area where she had been active in the Extension and had served as Newaygo County Chairperson. She was also the former Chairperson of the Newaygo County Democratic Party and had served as treasurer for Big Prairie Township. She is survived by her children, Janette (Marv) Deur of White Cloud; Marvin (Joan) Webster of White Cloud; Norma (Jerry) Hoffman of Fremont; Orville (Melodee) Webster of White Cloud; 19 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 brother, 4 sisters; grandsons, Jason Horvath and Jeff Hoffman and a granddaughter, Linda Hoffman. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 6, 2001 from the Crandell Funeral Home Chapel in White Cloud with Rev. Keith Pohl presiding. Interment in the Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery. Friends may consider the Fremont Area Community Foundation Endowment Fund for either the Jason Horvath Memorial Scholarship Fund or the Jeff Hoffman Memorial Scholarship Fund.
