Louzaina M. Knapp, age 73 of Newaygo, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont. Lou was born on April 21, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to Lester Phillip and Dorothy Marie (Lash) Beisiegel and later married Charles F. Knapp on May 10, 1969 in Harvey, Illinois. Charles preceded her in death on May 13, 2002. Lou moved to the Newaygo area in June 1971 from Tinley Park, Illinois and had been a pioneer minister for the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses for many years and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses in Newaygo. Lou also had worked as a janitor at the Grant State Bank for several years. Lou was well known for her cooking and being a caretaker of family and friends and will be remembered as a person of self-sacrifice. Lou is survived by her children, Joel Larry Beisiegel and Aiden Grossheider; brother, Earl (Opal) Beisiegel of Bitely and Earls children, Kelli, Heather, Brook and Jennifer; brother, Larry (Lee Ann) Beisiegel of Newaygo and Larrys children, Ricky, Deborah, Tammy; brother, Phillip Beisiegel of China and Phillips children, Jamin, Julie, Joanna, Jonathan, and Michael; many great nieces and nephews. Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Dorothy; and by her nephew, Steven Beisiegel. MEMORIAL SERVICES : Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 3pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses in Newaygo.
