Lucille F. Detloff, age 79 of Newaygo, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2003 at the Transitional Health Services following a short illness. Lucille was born on October 22, 1923 in Taconite, Minnesota to Steve and Mary (Javor) Furlong and married Martin A. Detloff on June 28, 1947 in Marble, Minnesota. She has been a resident of Newaygo since 1985 when Lucille and Martin moved from Detroit to Newaygo. Lucille was a devoted and faithful wife and mother and member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont . She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Martin A. of Newaygo; her children, Nancy (Greg) Myers of Newaygo; Terri (Mark) Hershberger of Shelby Township, Michigan; Elizabeth (Greg) Maloziec of Shelby Township, Michigan; Steven (Angela) Detloff of Hillsboro, New Mexico; 6 grandchildren, Laura & Lisa Myers; Alex & Anna Hershberger; Daniel & Elaine Maloziec; sisters, Vi (Darrell) Egolf of Olympia, Washington; Margie (John) Berschauer of Olympia, Washington; Shirley (Dennis) Troye of Chandler, Arizona; Mary Lou Cox of Grand Rapids, Minnesota; brothers, John (Fritz) Furlong of Menomonie, Wisconsin; Emil (Catherine) Furlong of Temple Hills, Maryland; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Janet & Rosemary; brothers, Frank & James. Funeral Mass services were held on Monday, February 3, 2003 from the All Saints Catholic Church with Rev. Father Mike Alber presiding with interment in the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Fremont . Rosary Services were held on Sunday, February 2, 2003 from the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with Rev. Father Mike Alber presiding.
