Lucille H. Koch, age 98, of Fremont, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2011, at Fountain View Retirement Village in Fremont. Lucille was born in Gaylord, to John and Jennie (Chapman) Ervin and married George Koch in 1936, in East Lansing. Lucille was a graduate of Gaylord High School and attended the Lansing Business School. She had been a secretary at Gerber Products until her retirement in 1977. She was a member of the HAGS at Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial, a volunteer with Lifeline, mentored at Cedar Street School, and was an active member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont. Lucille is survived by her grandchildren, James (Jo) Kloossterman and Sandra (Tom) Thurkettle; great-grandchildren, Douglass Kloosterman, Dan (Robin) Kloosterman, Jon (Wendy) Thurkettle, Robert (Chris) Thurkettle, Timothy (Cary) Thurkettle, and Debra Thurkettle; 14 great great greatgrandchildren; 1 great great great grandchild; nieces and nephew, Wilma Smith, Ardis (Dorman) Mobley, Darlene (Loe) Farche, and Ron (Fern) Purple; cousins, Altha Pullen and Alex Erwin; and many caring friends and caregivers. She was preceded in death by her husband, George in 1956, and sister, Pauline in 1959. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 25, 2011, at 11 AM, at the All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont. There will be visitation for Lucille at the church one hour prior to the Mass. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Grand Rapids.
