Obituary

Lydia Roossinck of Fremont and Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 22, 2016 at the Hospice Care Center in Akron, Ohio. Lydia was born on March 19, 1926 in Taintor, Iowa to Paul and Lydia (Vanderpol) Renaud. She moved to Fremont after marrying Henry Roossinck in Pella, Iowa on February 18, 1947. Henry preceded her in death on January 19, 2007. Lydia and Henry were dairy and fruit farmers for many years in the Fremont area and also were partners at the Roossinck Fruit Storage until their retirement. Lydia is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Ruth and Joseph Smith of Cuyahoga Falls; her grandchildren Christie (Ross) Wilkin of Seven Fields, Pennsylvania, Greg (Karin) Smith of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, and Andrew (Linsey) Smith of Stow, Ohio; her great-grandchildren Katie, Cameron, Sophie, and James Wilkin, Conrad and Oliver Smith, and Maxwell, Mya, and Lea Smith; her sister Mary (John) Verratti of Gasport, New York; her brothers Gerrit (Jane) Renaud of Monroe, Iowa; Mark (Patty) Renaud of Hemet, California; Leo (Marguerite) Renaud of Des Moines, Iowa; her sister-in-law Miriam Renaud of Iowa Falls, Iowa; her brother-in-law John (Shirley) Roossinck of Fremont; and many nieces and nephews. Lydia was preceded in death by her brothers and sister Paul, Harold, John, Carroll, James, Glen, Johanna, and Ed Renaud. Lydia was lovingly known as "Oma" to her great-grandchildren and as "Aunt Lydia" to many others. She was devoted to her Lord Jesus Christ, her family, and many dear friends. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." Psalm 116:15. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." Acts 16:31. VISITATION: Friday, April 1, 2016 from 4-7pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel (7193 W 48th Street, Fremont, MI 49412) and one hour prior to the funeral services. FUNERAL SERVICES: Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 11am at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. INTERMENT: Maple Grove Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: Bible Truth Publishers.
