Lyle V. Miller age 89 of Fremont, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2002 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. He was born on August 30, 1912 in Fremont to Roy and Lois (Sherwood) Miller and married Gladys Deters on October 30, 1946 in Fremont. He owned and operated a printing company in Grand Rapids until his retirement in the early 1980s. He was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church and was a veteran of World War II where he served in the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Gladys of Fremont; a sister, Rhea (LaVern) Basset of Jenison; sister-in-laws, Jean (Alden) Sneller of Fremont; Eleanor (Don) VanAntwerpen of Hudsonville; brother-in-law, Gerald (Dorothy) Deters of Grand Rapids; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Sherwood Miller. Funeral services were held on Friday, February 1, 2002 from the Crandell Funeral Home-Fremont Chapel with Rev. Allen Petroelje or the First Christian Reformed Church presiding with interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may consider the Fremont Area Community Foundation Endowment Fund for the 1st Christian Reformed Church for memorial contributions.
