Lyman Berl Erway, age 66, of Bitely passed away at his home on Friday, June 20, 2014. Lyman was born on January 24, 1948 in Gladwin County and married Frances L. Taylor on July 20, 1979. He had worked at the Merrill Township Transfer Station and served on the Lilley-Merrill Fire Department. Lyman enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was a member of the Brohman Chapel. Lyman is survived by his wife, Frances; children, Lyman G. Buck (Lynn) Erway of Novi, David (Toni) Laws of Borculo, and Lisa Laws of Bitely; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Hutchinson and RuthAnn (Al) Schmidt; and brother Bob (Nancy) Erway. Lyman was preceded in death by his parents; brother Willard Erway; and grandson, George Goodrich. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 28 2014 at 4 PM at the Brohman Chapel.
