Lynn Diane Moe, age 74 of Fremont, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the Newaygo County Compassion Home in Fremont. Lynn was born on October 11, 1947 in Fremont to Kenneth and Myriel A. (Powers) Akershoek and graduated from Fremont High School in 1965. Lynn met and later married Charles Moe on February 14, 1970 in Hesperia and Lynn has been a lifelong resident of the Fremont/Hesperia area. Lynn had worked at Homet/Alcoa for 41 years until her retirement; then worked part-time at Walmart and had been a volunteer at True North in Fremont. She had also been a farmer for many years. Lynn was a member of the Hesperia United Methodist Church, enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, coffee breaks and walking at the Hesperia American Legion, camping and traveling. Lynn enjoyed spending time with her family and spending the winter months in Gold Canyon, Arizona. Lynn is survived by her husband of 52 years, Charles of Fremont; her children, Steven Moe of Fremont; Alicia (fiancé, Jason Cooley) Moe of Delta, Colorado; Sheryl Moe of Annandale, Virginia; her mother, Myriel Akershoek of Fremont; her brother, Alan (Natalie) Akershoek of Holland. Lynn was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Akershoek on October 23, 1979. VISITATION : Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 5-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Friday, August 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hesperia United Methodist Church. INTERMENT : East Hesperia Cemetery.
