Lynn D. Rumsey, age 83, of Hesperia passed away at Fountain View Retirement Village of Fremont. Lynn was born on May 31, 1937, to Harry Earl and Irene Mae (Lynn) Rumsey. He received his Master's Degree at the University of Michigan and was a teacher in the Hesperia Public School Systems for many years. Lynn was an avid reader and served as treasurer for the Hesperia Community Library for over 40 years. Lynn is survived by his brothers, Joseph R. Rumsey of Hesperia and Thomas (Yvonne) Rumsey of California. He was preceded by his brother, Gary Paul Rumsey and sister-in-law, Lorene Sue Rumsey. A graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, October 31, 2020, at West Hesperia Cemetery with Pastor Donna Minarik from the Hesperia United Methodist Church officiating.
