IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mae Ellen
Taylor
December 4, 1948 – November 8, 2024
Mae Taylor, 75, of Ferrysburg, Michigan entered her heavenly reward on November 08th, 2024. She was born on December 4, 1948 to Sylvester and Clara (Kuhns) Fredenburg. Mae was the fourth of nine children.
At an early age Mae recognized she was a sinner and asked the Lord Jesus Christ to be her Saviour. She grew up in Twin Lake and graduated from Whitehall High School. She met Lawrence "Larry" Taylor in Big Rapids, Michigan. They married on December 29, 1974 in White Cloud and were given 42 years together before Larry preceded her in death. From this union they raised two daughters Ellen and Theresa. Mae was a caregiver to the elderly and provided daycare for most of her working years. Mae and Larry were avid crafters. They participated in many craft shows throughout Michigan. They loved to travel and managed a visit to every state, except Hawaii. Mae thoroughly enjoyed crafting, puzzles, Diamond Dots and word searches. She loved cardinals and frogs and the color red. She enjoyed collecting keepsakes of these over the years. Mae was a member of the Hosanna Mennonite Church.
She is survived by: her daughters Ellen (John) Wiseman and Theresa Ketner; her grandchildren Kimberly (Austin) Bonebrake-Fors, Adam Wiseman, Megan Ketner and River Ketner; her siblings Larry Fredenburg, Susan (David) Sill, Allen (Margo) Fredenburg; as well as sisters and brothers in law Cathy Fredenburg, Sandy Fredenburg, John Burkholder, Carol (Jim) Rutter, Bruce Taylor and Bonnie Baker; lifelong friends Lois Johnson and Ann Wishman. Additionally, she is survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Mae's church family, Hosanna Mennonite Church, for their loving care, concern, peace and friendship that they provided. A special thanks specifically to the families of Mark and Michelle Richey, Seth and Heather Richey and Samuel and Sarah Near. Mae's last year was particularly difficult but the Lord was faithful and kept his promise. He went with her through those valleys and she is now rejoicing with her Saviour.
Mae was proceeded in death by: her husband Larry; her parents; her brothers David, Edward, John, and Steven Fredenburg; her sister Jean Burkholder; as well as brothers and sisters in law Jerry Harding, Michelle Fredenburg, Dan Taylor, Ernie and Lenora Chandler.
