Magdaline Kraai, age 95 of Fremont, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2015 at her home following a short illness. Magdaline was born on December 11, 1919 in Zeeland, Michigan to William and Agnes (Wissink) Meeuwsen and later married Robert Kraai on June 19, 1943 in Grand Forks, South Dakota. Robert preceded her in death on March 26, 2006. Magdaline has been a resident of the Fremont area since 1947 and was a member of the First Reformed Church. Magdaline enjoyed golfing and socializing with her golf group, coffee group and condo group. She enjoyed watching all types of sports especially golf and older television programs. Magdaline especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. Magdaline is survived by her children, Scott Kraai of Greenville; Todd (Debra) Kraai of New Era; Tam (Mike) Tubergen of Fremont; her grandchildren, Robin (Bo) Vechazone of Waterford; Kim (Brian) Griffis of Jacksonville, Florida; Victor (Jennifer) Chiodini of Grand Rapids; Travis (Sceone) Kraai of Whitehall; Aaron (Margaret) Kraai of Whitehall; Kristopher Kraai of South Haven; Ryan Tubergen of Holland; Cody Tubergen of Fremont; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Fran Kraai; 3 sisters and 4 brothers. VISITATION :Monday, January 12, 2015 from 3-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 11am at the First Reformed Church in Fremont 348 E Main Street. INTERMENT : Maple Grove Cemetery.
