Maisy Grace Lynne Hover, born Sherry Lynne Hover, 64, of Fremont, Michigan, passed away on October 27, 2023, after being diagnosed with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in May. Maisy was born September 27, 1959, in Columbus, Ohio to Paul Bernerd and Lois Ann Hover. Maisy attended primary school in Tecumseh, MI, lettering her junior year as a member of the concert band, pep band and Shawnee Marchers. Throughout school, Maisy was an active member of the Tuckabatchee Council of Camp Fire Girls and received the Torch Bearer Rank, the highest rank in Camp Fire. After graduating 19th in her 276-member class, Maisy attended Spring Arbor College to study teaching. Maisy adored being a mother to Heather, who cherishes her own children, Colton and Liberty; and David who works as a journeyman electrician. Maisy was a faithful church member, enjoyed time spent with children, in nature, and good friends. Over the years, Maisy rescued countless pets, spoiling each of them extensively. Maisy is survived by her children, Heather (Jesse) Morningstar and Dave Hover, grandchildren Colton and Liberty Morningstar; sisters, Roxie (Tom) Miskinis and Vicki Hover, devoted dog, Dr. Zeus, and numerous first cousins. Maisy was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Hover and Lois Hover. Following Maisy's wishes, there will be a private graveside service.
