Mamie E. Mumper, age 78 of Holton, formerly of Twin Lake and Florida, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Heartland Nursing Home in Whitehall. Mamie was born on May 1, 1938 in Munising and later married Jerry R. Mumper on October 12, 1963 in Fremont. Mamie moved back to the Holton area in 2012 from Florida and had previously spent 13 years traveling with the Mobile Missionary Assistance Program throughout the United States. Mamie enjoyed traveling, crocheting, playing board games and socializing and visiting with friends at the Calvary Memorial Church, where she was a member, and with members of the Mobile Missionary Program. Mamie is survived by her husband, Jerry of Holton; her son, Tony (Michelle) Baker of Holton; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; her sisters, Joanne Swanson of Greenville; Mary Cartwright of Cedar Springs; Dorothy Ritche of Grand Rapids; many nieces and nephews. Mamie was preceded in death by her sons, Stephen Baker and James Mumper; by her sister, Minnie and her brother, Bill. VISITATION : Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 4-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel and Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 12-1pm. FUNERAL SERVICES : Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 1pm at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. INTERMENT : Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery.
