"She never quite leaves her children at home, even when she doesn't take them along." ~Margaret Culkin Banning Margaret (known to friends and family as Margie) Olive Heiss passed away peacefully on June 20, 2015 in Duluth, Georgia at Peachtree Christian Hospice. Margie was born in Everson, Washington on June 30, 1927 but lived most of her life in Fremont, Michigan with her loving husband "Bud" of 67 years who preceded her in death on July 2, 2014. Margie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Linda Whitlock of Portage, Michigan, Jeannie Hartsough of Plant City, Florida, Randy of Fremont, Michigan, and Brian of Dacula, Georgia. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. After Bud's retirement in 1979, Margie and Bud traveled the United States and worked seasonally at resorts like the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. She also had the honor of working at Epcot in Orlando, Florida part-time for 16 years. Margie will be remembered fondly for love of her family and her amazing strength. She was also passionate about growing and tending lovely flower gardens. She enjoyed watching wildlife, fishing, and reading. A luncheon will be held immediately following the memorial service in the Fellowship Hall of Fremont Christian Church, 10 E.
