Margaret E. Keiper, age 73 of Holton, passed away Saturday evening at her home following a long illness. Margaret was born on February 5, 1937 in Shelby to Ralph and Dorothy (Moss) Hubbel. Margaret married Duane Blanche on November 14, 1958. Duane preceded her in death. She later married Gale Keiper on April 15, 1978 and he preceded her in death in 2002. Margaret had been a retail sales clerk for many years until her retirement and enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. Margaret is survived by her children, George (Robin) Blanche of Charlotte; Mark Blanche of Holton; Diane (Jerry) Cox of Columbus, Indiana; her stepdaughter, Norma (Joe) Britanyak of Chandler, Arizona; 4 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren; her brothers, Jack Hubbel of Burton, Michigan; Charles (Sandra) Hubbel of Muskegon; her half brother, Lyle Green of Muskegon. She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph and step mother, Louise Hubbel. Private graveside services will be held at a later date in the spring at the Rice Creek Cemetery following cremation.
