Margaret L. "Peggie" Stone, age 93 of Fremont, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 peacefully at her home following a slow decline in her health. Peggie was born on April 21 1925 in Detroit to William A. and Colleen (Bennett) Mee and later moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she spent many years. Peggie married William Johnson and he preceded her in death on June 10, 1968. She later married Louis James Stone and he preceded her in death on January 27, 1974. In 1975, Peggie moved back to the Fremont area but still enjoyed traveling to Fort Lauderdale for several years during the winter months. Peggie had been active in charitable organizations and philanthropy in Fremont for many years and the community has been enriched through the generosity of Peggie. She enjoyed traveling, visiting Chicago, dining out and her gardens and flowers at her home. Peggie was a member of the Fremont United Methodist Church in Fremont. Peggie is survived by her special friends and caregivers she has met through the years.
