Margaret M. "Peg" Knight, age 89 of Shelby, formerly of Fremont, passed away peacefully at her home following chronic health conditions.  Peg was born on January 15, 1935 in Fremont to Max and Margaret (Matthews) Monette in Fremont and graduated from Holton High School in 1953.  Peg married Raymond Knight on June 20, 1953 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Brunswick and Raymond preceded her in death on April 15, 2014.  Peg had worked at Somer's Canning Factory in Fremont and then work at the Holton Elementary Schools under the Title I program for a short time and then spent her years as a homemaker.  Peg was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont and enjoyed knitting, doing fill in word puzzles, reading and truly treasured the time she spent with her family.

Peg is survived by her children, Wanda (Mark) McCastle of Holton; Don (Kathy Jo) Knight of Curtis, Michigan; Mary (Kevin) Moore of Shelby; 15 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; her sisters, Elaine Coburn; Tracy (Scott) Hilty; her brothers, John (Bonnie) Monette; Tom (Jan) Monette; sister-in-law, Ruth Monette; several nieces and nephews.  Peg was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Margaret Monette; her husband, Raymond; her sons, Mark Knight and Doug Knight; her brother, Max Monette.
