IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret N.
Stevens
September 3, 1916 – October 21, 2016
Margaret N. Stevens, age 100, of White Cloud, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 21, 2016, at Green Acres Retirement Community in Fremont. She was born on September 3, 1916, in White Cloud, the only daughter of Nettie (Branch) Fowler and Jesse Fowler, who had died shortly before Margaret's birth. After graduating from Muskegon Heights High School, where Nettie was teaching, Margaret furthered her education at Milton College in Milton, Wisconsin.
For many years Margaret taught 6th grade in White Cloud. After a year's study at the Sorbonne in Paris, she became a French teacher and loved taking her students to Paris. Her final years as an educator were in Kenowa Hills. After retiring she enjoyed winters in Florida and traveling with Elder Hostel. She loved to read and share books from her extensive library.
Ever since her baptism in Diamond Lake as a young girl, Margaret has been a faith-filled member of the White Cloud Seventh Day Baptist Church. Her gracious presence will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her son, Michael Mosher of Delta Junction, Alaska, and her granddaughter, Wendy Sue Mosher, of Namba, Idaho, as well as a long list of neighbors, friends, and former students.
