Margery B. Sevigny, age 85 of Fremont, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 at the Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial Hospital in Fremont. Margery was born on September 4, 1931 in Muskegon to Russell Benjamin and Gussie Victoria (Benson) Trygstad in Muskegon and graduated from Holton High School in 1949. She later married Carl Sevigny on June 21, 1958 in Holton. Carl preceded her in death on November 10, 1995. Margery has been a resident of the Fremont area since 1958 where she had been a homemaker. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fremont where she had been the financial secretary for 40 years and had been active in the Ladies League and Altar Guild. Margery had been an avid bowler and golfer, was an avid U of M Sports fan and a Detroit Tigers Fan. Margery enjoyed spending time with family and friends and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
Margery is survived by her children, Cheryl (Douglas) Blamer of Fremont; Sandy (Dan) Tooker of Grand Rapids; Jeffrey (Lisa) Sevigny of Fremont; Timothy (Caryn) Sevigny of Grand Rapids; 11 grandchildren, Troy (Allison) Blamer; Brooke Blamer, Colin Blamer, Stacey Mikowski, Ian (Emily Hulbert) Mikowski, Jake (Taylor) Sorenson, Ben (Miranda Owen) Sorenson, Dan (Brittany Santo) Sorenson; Macey Sevigny, Scout Sevigny, Mat (Nikki) Gillette; 2 great grandchildren, Bentley and Grace; her sisters and brothers, Eileen Anderson of Twin Lake; Mason (Shirley) Trygstad of Twin Lake; Larry (Ann) Trygstad of Tarzana, California; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Eleanor Aslakson, Oscar Trygstad, Robert Trygstad, Mabel Gillette, Ed Trygstad Marian Wilson, Alice McBain, Allan Trygstad.
VISITATION : Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 5-8pm at Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. FUNERAL MEMORIAL SERVICES : Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 2pm at the Redeemer Lutheran Church 680 E Main Street Fremont MI 49412 INTERMENT : Oakwood Cemetery in Holton. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Quilters Squares at the Redeemer Lutheran Church or Russell B. Trygstad Scholarship Fund at the Community Foundation of Muskegon County.
