Margot Ruth Holmes, age 79, of Fremont passed away at her home on Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Margot was born in Fremont on May 30, 1933, to Paul and Mary (Mills) MacDonald and married James Cole. She later married Fredrick Holmes on June 15, 1990. Margot was a laboratory technician retiring from Gerber Products Company in 1994. She enjoyed watching baseball, football, NASCAR, and jigsaw puzzles. Margot loved horses and started riding at age 2. Margot is survived by her children, Karen (Lon) Hockett of Kansas, Rex (Kay) Cole of Newaygo, Paul (Lynn) Cole of Fremont, Paula Cole of Fremont, and Shane (Terri) Cole of Indianapolis; step-children, Fred (Ruth) Holmes Jr. of Fremont, Brenda (Cas) Remus of Florida, Jeff (Jeri) Holmes of Fremont, and Carol Willard of Ferry; 12 grandchilden; many great-grandchildren; sister Ina Jean Domke of Inkster. She was preceded in death by her brother, paul Mills MacDonald in 2010. There will not be any services at this time.
