Marguerite F. "Marge" Peets, age 105 of Fremont, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019 at the Green Acres Nursing Center in Fremont. Marge was born on July 23, 1913 in Chicago to Charles L. and Eda (Klein) Peterson Jr. and later married Floyd E. Peets on May 28, 1937 in Bay City, Michigan. Floyd preceded her in death on January 4, 1991. Marge had attended Michigan State College in East Lansing and later worked on the family dairy farm as the book keeper and assisted with all activities on the farm until her retirement. Marge was a member of the First Congregational Church in Fremont where she helped with the church bazaar. Marge also enjoyed sewing, quilting, playing Bridge, traveling to Texas in the winters and traveling in general and always did crossword puzzles in pen not pencil. Marge is survived by her daughters, Jodie Cody of Rockwall, Texas; Charlyn Ann Hobbs of Fremont; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 3 nieces, and 1 cousin. Marge was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Peterson and her son-in-law, David Cody. CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICES will be held in the summer of 2020 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ Memorial Garden. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the First Congregational Church of Christ for the church memorial garden for memorial contributions in memory of Marge.
