Marian Elaine Bird, 66, of Irons, formerly of White Cloud, Mi. passed away Friday, February 20, 2026.
Marian was born October 14, 1959, the daughter of Everett and Anna Brooks. She worked for the City of White Cloud as the clerk treasurer before continuing her career with White Cloud Public Schools, where she later retired. In addition to her public service, Marian followed her calling to help others by owning her own business, Morning Doves New Sunrise, for over 20 years, where she practiced Jin Shin Do Acupressure. She had a gentle, healing presence and a natural gift for listening, comforting, and guiding others through difficult season of life. Marian found great joy in nature and the outdoors. She loved hiking, snow shoeing, drumming, and playing her Native American flute. Music filled her heart, and some of her happiest moments were spent thrifting and being with her daughters and grandchildren. She was compassionate, kind, and wonderfully sassy, and she loved fiercely and fully. Her family was her greatest pride, and she poured herself into being a devoted mother and grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, laughter, and love that will continue to live on in all who knew her.
Marian is lovingly survived by her daughters, Krista (Michael) Doss, Andrea (Kyle Alger) Bird, Rebecca (Joel) Nichols and Madhuri Thutheja-Verma (exchange student); her cherished grandchildren, Trenton, Kyle Jr., Bella, Malachai, Joel, Kaylee, and Natalie; her brothers, Allen and Edward Brooks; sisters, Jan Smith, and Ilene Culver-Stout; her former husband and lifelong friend, Craig Bird; companion and friend Darryl (Red) Homminga; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Marian is preceded in death by her mother and father, Anna and Everett Brooks and her nephew, Joshua Culver.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Crandell Funeral Home 1109 Court St, White Cloud. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior to the start of the service.
