Marian B. Strait, age 78 of Fremont, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Leila & Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence in Muskegon following a short illness. Marian was born on June 12, 1940 in Fremont to Charles and Mary Catherine (Deblock) Hagen and graduated from Fremont High School in 1958. Marian later graduated from the University of Michigan, School of Banking. Marian worked at the Old State Bank from 1959 until 1972 and later worked at the Gerber Products Company for 20 years until her retirement in 1998. Marian also helped her parents on the family farm for many years. Marian met and married Russ Strait on June 10, 1978 in Fremont and Russ preceded her in death on September 18, 2012. Marian was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont, enjoyed collecting antiques and working her yard. Marian is survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russ and her brother, Harold Hagen. VISITATION : Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 1-2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home - Fremont Chapel.
