Taylor, Marian I. Marian I. Taylor, age 80 of Fremont, passed away Monday afternoon, August 21, 2006 at her home following a short illness. Marian was born on July 31, 1926 in Grand Rapids. She met her future husband of 61 years, Francis Raymond Ray Taylor while they worked at the Mongers Cherry Orchard near Silver Lake at the age of 14 and they were later married on August 1, 1944 in Cedar Springs. Francis Raymond Ray preceded her in death on October 5, 2005. Marian has been a longtime resident of the Fremont area where she enjoyed reading, her flowers in the garden, crocheting, and watching television. She had worked as floor person at the Vanderhaag carrot factory, Speas Apple Juice, H.J. Heinz Pickle Factory and Borgmans Fruit Orchard until her retirement. Marian is survived by her children, Raymond James Jim Taylor of Fremont; Barbara Taylor of Fremont; Robert (Darlene) Taylor of Hesperia; Ruth Jeske of Fremont; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; several brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Rosa Lynn Taylor on December 27, 1978 and Linda Vandervegte of October 31, 1991; her brothers and sister, Kenneth Funk, Merwin Funk, Donald Funk, Barb Funk, Carl Funk, Raymond Red Funk, Arthur and Nicholas Funk as infants.
