Marian R. Wilson, age 88, of Twin Lake and Texas, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2011, at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon. She was born on September 26, 1922, in Holton, one of twelve children of Russell B. and Gussie (Benson) Trygstad. She graduated from Holton High School and worked for Capital Airlines before she was married to Leland E. Wilson on November 27, 1948, in Muskegon. Marian was a Life Master duplicate bridge player, a wordsmith who loved crossword puzzles and writing poetry, and enjoyed oil painting and dancing. She also enjoyed participating in and leading many social and volunteer organizations. She had a strong sense of adventure, and lived in and explored many places throughout the world including Alaska, London, Copenhagen, Jakarta, and Hong Kong, before retiring in Lindale, Texas. Marian was a member of the Holton Evangelical Lutheran Church. Marian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She is survived by Lee, her husband of 62 years; children, Kathleen (Larry Cohn) Wilson of Anchorage, Alaska, Linda (Brad Owens) Wilson of Anchorage, Alaska, Mary Lee (Nick Wieder) Wilson of Santa Monica, California, and John (Lisa) Wilson of Anchorage, Alaska; 8 grandchildren, Emily Cohn, Tyler Cohn, Whitney (Greg) DAtri, Reed (Kelly) Owens, Eric Owens, Katy Benson, Michael Benson, and Leland D. Wilson ; brothers and sisters, Eileen Anderson of Twin Lake, Mason (Shirley) Trygstad of Twin Lake, Margery Sevigny of Fremont, and Larry (Ann) Trygstad of California; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, from 5 8 p.m. at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday morning at 11 a.m. at the Holton Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Zager officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Holton.
