March 11, 1933 – April 1, 2009
Marianne M. Deehan, age 76 of Newaygo, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at her home. Marianne was born on March 11, 1933 in Lansing, Michigan to Howard and Alice (Carleton) Lownsbery and met and later married Harold C. Deehan Jr. on March 8, 1952 in Lansing. Harold preceded her in death on July 16, 2007. Marianne had worked at the Lansing School District for several years until her retirement. Marianne had been an active member of ZONTA in Newaygo County and was also a member of Air Force Sergeants Association, the White Cloud Garden Club and AARP. Marianne enjoyed embroidery and sewing, traveling throughout the continental United States and Canada and treasured the time spent with family. Marianne was also a member of the White Cloud 7th Day Baptist Church. Marianne is survived by her children, Howard Clifton (Valerie J.) Deehan of St. John, Indiana, Craig Deehan of Lansing, Sheryl Deehan of Brohman, and Henry (Lisa Hopkins) Deehan of Holt; 4 grandchildren, Chris (Karen) Deehan, Angela Deehan, Joseph Hopkins, and Janelle Hopkins; her great grandson, Nicholas Alexander Deehan; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Virginia (Larry) Bouman, Tom Deehan, and Bob (Dee) Deehan; several nieces and nephews. VISITATION : Sunday, April 5, 2009 from 12-2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Sunday, April 5, 2009 at 2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with Pastor Bernie Wethington of the White Cloud 7th Day Baptist Church presiding. Friends may consider ZONTA of Newaygo County or the Air Force Sergeants Association for memorial contributions in memory of Marianne.
