Marie Bean, age 87 of Holton, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2002 at her home. She was born on January 4, 1915 in Holton Township to Grant and Marian Anne (Trygstad) Syers and married Nelson Robert Bean on January 30, 1933 in Indiana. Nelson Robert preceded her in death on June 14, 1968. Marie has been a lifelong resident of the Holton area where she had been a homemaker. She is survived by her children, Robert (Ruby) Bean of Holton; Joan (William "Bill") Brassard of Grand Haven; Alice (Paul) Roach of Twin Lake; Darlene (John) Dykema of Twin Lake; several grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 sons, Louis, Carl and Ellwood Bean; and 1 great grandchild Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 20, 2002 from the Crandell Funeral Home-Fremont Chapel with interment in the Holton Township Cemetery.
