Marilyn Corley, age 83 of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial Hospital following respiratory complications. Marilyn was born on April 27, 1934 in Grand Rapids to Nick and Dena (VanDam) Dryer and later graduated from Fremont High School in 1952. Marilyn met and later married Eulas "Sandy" Corley on November 5, 1955. Marilyn and Sandy opened Sandy's Harley Davidson in Fremont in 1972 and continued to be a partner with her son, Rick, in the business until her retirement in 2017. After Sandy's passing from cancer in 1989, the Sandy Corley Memorial Run was started , which is now entering its 30th year, with all proceeds being donated to the Johnson Family Cancer Center in Muskegon. Marilyn was very involved in starting and supporting the Sandy Corley Run and was proud of the benefits that the Sandy Corley Memorial Run has done for the cancer patients at the Johnson Cancer Center throughout the past 29 years. Marilyn enjoyed living on McLaren Lake – swimming and watching the loons; enjoyed playing cards games, watching the game show channel on television and visiting with people on a daily basis. Marilyn truly treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren. Marilyn is survived by her children, Candy (Paul) Breuker of Fremont; Rick (Karen) Corley of Fremont; grandchildren, Josh (Megan) Corley; Eric (Nicole) Corley; Michelle (Kevin) Roossinck; Melanie (Andrew) White; Stacey (Chris) Johnson; JR (Lori) Corley; Adam (Emily) Corley; Jennifer Corley; her great grandchildren, Trentyn, twins due in May to Josh and Megan; Brinley, Taylen, Sydney, Sienna, Kaden, Kennedy, Marielle, Maci, Reagan, Calvin, Donavon, Sabrina, Owen, Kimberly, and Zoé; her sister, Cher (Larry) Hood of Marietta, Georgia; everal nieces, nephews and cousins; her extended Harley Davidson family. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Sandy; her parents, Nick and Dena Dryer and her brother, Don Dreyer.
