Marilyn Kay Halasinski, age 71 of Fremont, passed away Monday, July 9, 2018 at her home following a short battle with cancer. Marilyn was born on August 15, 1946 in Muskegon to Floyd Marvin and Mary (Hiza) Boutell and graduated from Ravenna High School. Marilyn later met and married Roman Joseph Halasinski on November 27, 1965 in Muskegon. Roman preceded her in death on May 2, 2008. Marilyn had worked at Chassix for many years and retired as an x-ray inspector in 2010. Marilyn enjoyed reading books, working jigsaw puzzles, canning and gardening and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marilyn is survived by her children, Terry Halasinski of Fremont; Brian (Arlene) Halasinski of White Cloud; Tim Halasinski of Fremont; Glen Halasinski of Fremont; Greg Halasinski of Fremont; Matt (Josefina) Halasinski of Fremont; 9 grandchildren, Ashley (Steven) Johnson and their children, Mason and Maddy; Jonathon (Paige) Halasinski and children, Isiah, Ezekiel, and Neriah; Victoria Face and her daughter, Hensley; Amanda Halasinski and her son, Braydon; Tyler Halasinski; Jessica Face; Matthew Halasinski; Dennis Halasinski; Adam Halasinski; her brothers, Daniel (Vickie) Boutell of Grant; Gerald Allen (Jan) Boutell of Douglas; Rodney Frank Boutell of Holland; Floyd Henry "Butch" (Sherrie) Boutell of North Muskegon; many nieces and nephews. Marilyn was preceded in death by her son, Dennis, grandson, Caleb James; and her sister, Jacquelyn Shugars. CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICES: Friday, July 13, 2018 at 1pm at the Newaygo VFW Memorial Hall 45 Gene Furgason Lane Newaygo MI 49337 following Marilyn's wishes for cremation.
