Marilyn J. Moorman, age 79 of Fremont, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2012 at her home. Marilyn was born on February 7, 1933 in Kent County to Walter F. and Mildred (Heller) Boettner and later married Thomas W. Moorman on January 5, 1952 in Grand Rapids. Thomas preceded her in death on November 21, 2008. Marilyn and Tom moved to the Diamond Lake area in 1974 from Grand Rapids and lived on Diamond Lake for 34 years until they moved to Fremont in 2005. Marilyn had worked as a waitress for 15 years at Sallys in White Cloud until her retirement. Marilyn enjoyed shopping trips with her daughters, daughter-in-laws and granddaughters every fall, traveling on cruises, playing cards, bowling, attending meetings for the blind, sewing and gaming. Marilyn is survived by her children, Pamela J. (Louis) Wisniewski of Freeport, Michigan; Patricia J. Hudson of Sand Lake; Thomas W. (Diane) Moorman of White Cloud; Robert W. (Debra) Moorman of Fremont; Linda K. Vincent of Kingsley, Michigan; Tim P. (Laura) Moorman of Twin Lake; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; her brother, Ken (Gretchen) Boettner of Allendale, Michigan; several nieces and nephews. VISITATION : Thursday from 5-8pm and Friday from 12-1pm at Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Friday at 1pm at the Crandell Funeral Home. INTERMENT : Maple Grove Cemetery.
