Marilyn J. Stroven, age 84 of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at her home. Marilyn was born on May 5, 1937 in Fremont to John and Mable (Schurkamp) Klingler and graduated from Fremont High School in 1956. Marilyn met Ron Stroven in middle school and became high school sweethearts and were married on November 3, 1956 in Fremont. Marilyn has been a lifelong resident of the Fremont area where she had been a homemaker and was an avid reader. She enjoyed baking, watching and feeding the birds, going antiquing, listening to all types of music and loved her dogs and cat. Marilyn was a member of the Fremont Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ron of Fremont; her children, Ronda (Mark) Folbrook of Fremont; Steve (Melissa) Stroven of Fremont; John (Karyn) Stroven of Grant; Scott Stroven of Fremont; 9 grandchildren – Aimee (Randy) Hovey; Audra (Justin) Schuler; Brittney (Josh) Morse; Vicki (Brock) Hill; Brandon Stroven; Matt (Amanda) Stroven; Mike (Melanie) Stroven; Ryan Stroven; Ashlee Stroven; her brother, Donald (Janette) Klingler of Oklahoma. Following her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private celebration of Marilyn's life will be held at the family home.
