Vanderwall, Marilyn L. Marilyn L. Vanderwall, age 68 of Fremont , passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 1, 2004 in Apache Junction, Arizona . Marilyn was born on August 17, 1935 in Fremont to Leon Michael and Vesta I. (Hitts) Homan and married Walter L. Vanderwall on June 1, 1955 in Fremont . She has been a lifelong resident of the Fremont area where she had been an underwriter at the Fremont Mutual Insurance Company in Fremont until her retirement in 1997 after 33 years of service. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont . She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Walter of Fremont; her children. Cathy (Roger) Haywood of Fremont; James (Dee Dee) Vanderwall of Fremont; Mary Lynn (Wade) Perrigo of Hesperia; her grandchildren, Ryan Wolford, Matt Haywood, Jennifer Vanderwall, James W. Vanderwall, Myka Vanderwall, Chris Armstrong, Cody Armstrong, Cade Vanderwall Armstrong; her great grandson, Liem Ethan Stark; her sisters and brothers, Norma (Alvin) Luchies of Fremont; Betty (Alvin) Frens of Fremont; Carol Canniff of Newaygo; Joyce (Robert) Geeting of Fremont; Leon (Louise) Homan of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Wayne (Marian) Homan of Grant; Larry (Kathy) Homan of Fremont; her sister-cousin, Jo Stephens of Fremont; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Josephine Vanderwall of Fremont; Margaret Vanderwall of Fremont; Evelyn DeBoer of Fremont; Joyce Vanderwall of Dresden, Ontario, Canada; Anita (Chris) Meeuwenberg of Fremont; Edith (Lewis) Deters of Fremont. She was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Faith Unity Stark, her sisters-in-law, Lillian Vanderwall and Norma Knoll and her brothers-in-law, Albert and Seymour Vanderwall. Funeral services were held on Monday, March 8, 2004 from the First Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Mark Bennink of the First Christian Reformed Church presiding with interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery .
