Obituary

Marilyn C. Zagers Marilyn C. Zagers, age 75 of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at the Mercy General Health Services in Muskegon following complications from surgery. Marilyn was born on March 25, 1932 in Milwaukee, WI to George and Margaret (Perdew) Dailey and moved to the Holton area at the age of 6 months. Marilyn married Robert Zoscsak on Feb. 28, 1953 and he preceded her in death on April 22, 1956. Marilyn has been has been a lifelong resident of the area where she had worked in the customer relations department at Gerber Products Company in Fremont for 15 years until her retirement in 1994. She was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church. She had been active in 4-H, had been a Girl Scout Leader, was a member of the Holton American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed flower gardening and participating in water aerobics in Fremont. She is survived by her companion and good friend, Don Neuman of Newaygo; her children, Debra (David) Shields of North Muskegon; Robert (Andrea) Zoscsak of Rubicon, WI; Jill (Ron) VanSickle of Fremont; Jodi (Lon) DeKuiper of Fremont; 5 grandchildren, Sara Deuling; Meryl Zoscsak; Rob Zoscsak; Ashley VanSickle; Mitch VanSickle; her son-in-law, Gary Deuling; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Zoscsak and her brothers, James Dailey, Frank Truschke, Fred Truschke. Mass of resurrection services were held on Friday, July 20, 2007 at the All Saints Catholic Church with Rev. Father Tony Russo presiding with interment in the Oakwood Cemetery in Holton. Friends may consider the All Saints Catholic Church or Newaygo County Commission on Aging for memorial contributions. We have a special attachment to your mom (grandma) through you and I always looked forward to seeing and talking to her at the Gerber Days parade. I will miss her this year! She was also the person I could call following Ashley's injury to find out how AShley was doing. She was one very special lady and I always enjoyed talking to her.
