Marjorie A. Corning, age 80 of Muskegon, formerly of Traverse City, passed away Saturday, August 09, 2014 at the Sanctuary at McAuley in Muskegon following a lingering illness. Marjorie was born on October 22, 1933 in Traverse City to John and Ina (Wood) Perry Sr. and grew up in the Traverse City area until she moved to Muskegon in 1957. Marjorie enjoyed fishing, swimming, her dogs, watching nature and being in the Michigan outdoors. Marjorie had also been a foster parent for several years and had been a school bus driver for the Oakridge Public Schools from 1974 until 1981. Marjorie is survived by her children, Donald Hall of Muskegon; Connie (Erv) Heidbrink of Sturgis; Ray (Vonda) Hall of Hesperia; her grandchildren, Rebecca (Travis) Leech; Emily Hall; Alisha (Jon) Wenc; Michael (Audy) Heidbrink; Chelsea (Gabe) Godina; Rachel (Alex) Watkins; Carissa Hall and Jasmine Hall; Jeff Wever; Kate Jourden; 3 great grandchildren, Mason and Avery Godina; Olivia Heidbrink. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Hall; her granddaughter, Alyssa Hall and her brother, John A. Perry Jr. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 2pm with visitation from 1-2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with Pastor David Peplinksi presiding with interment in the Grand Traverse Memorial Garden in Traverse City. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital or Harbor Hospice for memorial contributions in memory of Marjorie.
