Marjorie Marie Hill, age 74, of Bitely, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, peacefully at her home, in Beaver Twp. Marjorie, the daughter of Leo Morris and Katherine Louise (Gleason) Maynard, was born on November 3, 1951, in Fremont, Michigan. She was raised in a big family on the family farm near Volney in Beaver Twp., Newaygo County and graduated from Walkerville High School in 1969. She married Bruce Walter Hill on July 10, 1969 in White Cloud. She spent many years traveling abroad when her husband served in the military. She worked most of her life as a bank teller and branch manager at various banks, then later as a production associate at Magna Donnelly in Newaygo, where she retired in 2013. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and spending as much time as she could with her kids and grandkids. Marjorie loved to sing and had a beautiful voice and soul. She also had an infectious smile and had a passion for gardening. She had a deep love for her pets. Not much time went by when she didn't have a small dog on her lap. Having birds and fish around at various points in her life gave her immense happiness.

Marjorie is survived by her children; Yvonne (Sheila) Hill, Charles (Abby) Hill, and Shaun (Jessica) Hill, all of Bitely. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren; Joshua Struble, Alex Wymer, Amber Wymer, Joseph (Meghan) Hill, Aaron (Dezirae) Hill, Matthew Hill, Steven (VIcki) Houston, Ann Marie Hill, Baine Hill, Connor Johnson, Camryn Johnson, Savannah (Riley) Kettler-Sage, Corbin Hill, 13 great-grandchildren, as well as her brother and sisters; Betty Hunt of Bitely, Judy Mumper of Walkerville, Carl Maynard of Bitely, Dallas (Darla) Maynard of Bitely, Carol Purdy of Bitely, James (Sonja) Maynard of Hesperia, and her brother-in-law; Jim Hill of Bitely. She is preceded in death by her husband; Bruce, her parents; Leo and Louise, her sister; June Maynard, and several brother and sister-in-laws.

The family invites all who wants to attend to the gravesite service on April 6, 2026 at 1:30pm at Troy Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Crandell Funeral Home - Fremont Chapel.
