Obituary

Zerlaut, Marjorie E. Marjorie E. Zerlaut, age 69 of Sitka, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2004 at her home. She was born on September 5, 1934 in Fremont to Bruce and Margaret (Cregg) McDonald and graduated from Fremont High School. She married Allen Zerlaut on September 13, 1952 at the Holton Lutheran Church. Allen preceded her in death on July 22, 1998. Marjorie has been a lifelong resident of the area where she had been a farmer. She was a member of the Sitka United Methodist Church where she had been a Sunday school teacher for 40 years; had been active in the Sitka Ladies Aid; and was a member of the National Farmers Organization. was a member of the Decolores; She is survived by her children, Myrna (Ray) Brenner of Newaygo; Laura (Gene) Mohrbach of Mishawaka, Indiana; Allen Bruce (Connie) Zerlaut of Fremont; Stephen (Robin) Zerlaut of Holton; Mac (Shannon) Zerlaut of Holton; 17 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; her sister-in-laws, Marilyn (James) McCormick of Muskegon; Arlene (William) Worthing of Twin Lake; and Susan (Richard) King of Rose City, Michigan; her brother-in-laws, Morris (Mary) Zerlaut of Arizona; and Robert (Jennifer) Zerlaut of South Carolina. Funeral services were held on Monday, July 26, 2004 from the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with Mr. James Meines of the Sitka United Methodist Church presiding with interment in the Oakwood Cemetery in Holton. Friends may consider the Sitka United Methodist Church or Hospice of Michigan, Newaygo County for memorial contributions.
