Martha May Taylor, age 84, of Walkerville passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020, at home. Martha was born on August 28, 1935, in Big Prairie Township to Charles and Mary (Stewart) Aisha and married Roy Edward Taylor on May 9, 1960, in Newaygo. Martha had been a LPN at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon and also cooked at the Sportsman's Restaurant in Newaygo. She enjoyed sewing, crochet, yard sales, and was active in the Newaygo VFW and Camp Trotter. Martha attended the Pine Grove Community Church and her faith was an important part of her life. Martha is survived by her children, Sam (Carol) Taylor of Newaygo, Connie (Dan Bowyer) Sayles of Walkerville, James Taylor of Las Vegas, and Terresa Slater of Vermont; 18 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and sister, Sarah (Jerry) Daul of Fruitport. She was preceded by her husband, Roy; son, Don Taylor; and brothers and sisters, Chris, Walt, Mike, Jake, Dan, Don, Betsy, and Clair. There will be a private interment service at Newaygo Cemetery and a Celebration of Life will be scheduled for later this summer.
