Martha Bell Wall, age 71 of Grand Rapids, formerly of White Cloud, went to be with her Lord on Friday evening, November 26, 2004 at the St. Marys Hospital in Grand Rapids following a lingering illness. She was born on October 3, 1933 in Clarksdale, Mississippi to James and Sarah (Sims) Arnold and married David Anderson in 1952 in Mississippi. Martha moved to Grand Rapids in 1966 with her family and later married Vernon Wall on December 13, 1972 in Grand Rapids. Vernon preceded her in death on September 12, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Margie Anyanwu. She had been a supply dispatch coordinator at St. Marys Hospital for over 30 years until her retirement. Martha moved to White Cloud in 1995 where she was a member of the White Cloud Church of God in Christ Empowerment Center. She also attended the Mt. Moriah Baptist Worship Center in Grand Rapids. She enjoyed fishing, watching old western movies and the gospel channel. She is survived by her children, JoAnne Knox of Muskegon; David Anderson of Grand Rapids; Vernita KK Grayson of Grand Rapids; Pangetta Pam Anderson of Grand Rapids; her stepson, Vertures Wall of White Cloud; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren;her sisters, Sarah McCoy of Florida; Herbertstein Barnett of Memphis, Tennessee; host of nieces, nephews and friends and other relatives including Mrs. Fannie Washington of Chicago, Illinois and Bobbie Perkins of Lansing. Marthas Homegoing Services were held on Wednesday, December 1, 2004 from the White Cloud Church of God in Christ Empowerment Center with Supt. Robert E. Smith Sr. of the White Cloud Church of God in Christ Empowerment Center officiating with interment in the White Cloud Cemetery.
