Martha A. (VanDalen) Walters, age 72, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at her home under hospice care with her family by her side. Martha was born on December 24, 1940 in Palms, MI. and was the daughter of August and Cecilia (Messing) VanDalen. Martha was a graduate of Ubly Community Schools in 1959 and married Larry W. Walters on August 29, 1959. Martha enjoyed family and her Church fellowship at First Baptist Church in Morley until her health failed. She loved reading, music, flowers, growing plants, and spoiling her dogs, Pooh Bear and Little Bit. Martha is survived by her husband of 54 years, Larry; daughter, Sandra Trombley; daughter-in-law, Michelle Walters; grandchildren, Christopher and Savanna Walters, Cody, Jonathan, Kristy, and Jessie Withrow; great-grandson, Dominic Withrow; brothers and sister, Joseph (Margret) VanDalen, Mary (William) Doerr, and William (Katheryn) VanDalen. She was preceded in death by parents, August and Cecilia VanDalen; infant daughter, Paulette Walters; daughter, Theresa DeWeerd; son, Wesley Walters; son-in-law, Michael Withrow; brother, Daniel VanDalen; sister, Paula VanDalen. Funeral Services will be held at 4pm on Tuesday, November 19, at the First Baptist Church in Morley - 248 N. Cass St. Morley, MI 49336. There will be visitation 2 hours prior to the service. Interment will be in White Cloud Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the First Baptist Church of Morley.
