Martin A. Kuhns, age 90 of Muskegon and formerly of White Cloud, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the Heartland Health Care Center in Muskegon. Martin was born on December 30, 1922 in White Cloud to Eli and Elizabeth (Chupp) Kuhns and later married (Lois) Lucille Dunham on October 1, 1949 in White Cloud. Lucille preceded him in death on October 23, 2006. Martin has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area where he was a member of the Croton Community Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, tying fishing flies and traveling. Martin worked at Gerber Products in Fremont for 25 years and owned and operated Kuhns Refrigeration for 40 years. Martin was also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Martin is survived by his children, Deb Kuhns of Lillian, Alabama; Rodney (Tammy Mitchell) Kuhns of Newayg0; Marcia (Wayne) Holman of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-Grandchildren; his brother, Lenus (Ada) Kuhns of White Cloud; his sisters, Susan Fredenburg of White Cloud; Ruth Kuhns of White Cloud; Barbara Holleman of Tennessee; Elizabeth (Delbert) Burkholder of White Cloud; sister-in-law, Barbara Kuhns of White Cloud; close family friend, Susan Mack. He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Kuhns and 7 brothers and 1 sister. VISITATION : Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 10-11am at the Berean Church 635 Seminole Road Muskegon MI 49441 with MEMORIAL SERVICES at 11am at the church. INTERMENT : Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Croton Community Church.
