Marvin G. Wolters Sr., age 67 of Twin Lake , passed away Tuesday at his home. He was born on March 17, 1936 in Fremont to George and Hattie (Volkering) Wolters and later married Sandra Lea Jolman on July 30, 1983 in Twin Lake . Sandra preceded him in death on May 26, 1991 . Marvin had been a construction worker for many years and enjoyed working with cars, camping, and fishing. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army where he served with the 10th Engineer Inf. Div. as a combat engineer. Survivors include his children, Chrisandra Wolters of Fremont; Renee (Fred) Plotts of White Cloud; Marilyn Wolters of White Cloud; Sheri Wolters of Muskegon; 20 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; step children, Judy Hammond of Muskegon; Rick (Wanda) Buttleman of White Cloud; Roxanne Buttleman of Muskegon; his sisters and brothers, Alfred (Johanna) Wolters of Grant; Harvey Wolters of Muskegon; Jean Brown of Burton, MI; Betty (Greg) Domine of Muskegon; Kenneth (Lois) Wolters of Twin Lake. He was preceded in death by his son, Marvin Wolters Jr. on April 9, 1994 and sisters, Ruth Hoffman and Donna Wolters. Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 6, 2003 from the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with interment in the Goodwell Township Cemetery .
