Mary Elsmae Anderson, age 81 of Fremont, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2000 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. She was born on July 25, 1919 in Muskegon to Joseph and Mary Jane (Seguin) Dow and married Harold Anderson on March 23, 1914 in Hesperia. Harold preceded her in death on December 16, 1996. She has been a lifelong resident of the area where she owned and operated her own beauty shop for many years. She was also a member of the Fremont Christian Church Disciples of Christ Church in Fremont. She is survived by her children, Joan Nadeau of Fremont; Janet (Dave) Powers of Grand Rapids; her grandchildren, Jason Weersma; Robert Nadeau; Roxanne (Rodney) Hudson; H. Douglas (Barb) Nadeau; her great grandchildren, Morgan and Jared Hudson and Caleb Nadeau; her brother, Wilford Dow of Fremont; sister-in-law, Harriet (Chuck) Urman of Boyne City; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 22, 2000 from the Crandell Funeral Home Chapel in Fremont with Rev. David Dickinson of the Fremont Christian Church Disciples of Christ Church presiding with interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
