Mary "Angie" Angelique Barnes, age 41 of Muskegon, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the Mercy Health Partner Mercy Campus in Muskegon following a heart attack. Angie was born on November 11, 1979 to Floyd and Teressa (Eaves) Barnes in Fremont and graduated from Reeths Puffer High School with honors where she also excelled in the Reeths Puffer Marching Band and played the flute. Angie was part of the Reeths Puffer Marching Band when they won State awards in marching band competition. Angie had worked as a secretary for Quality Underground Systems for several years and had also been involved in daycare. Angie found the most happiness however when she was with her family and close friends. Angie's life will continue to live on through others with her organ donation with Michigan Gift of Life so that others may live. Remember to "Live life while you have it to live, tomorrow may never come."
Angie is survived by her mother and stepfather, Teressa (Ryan) Wilson of Muskegon; her brothers, Ryan Wilson Jr. and Luka Wilson; her maternal grandmother, Frances "Gerrie" Rushing Skinner; her nieces and nephews, Slater Wilson, Bryce Wilson, Hunter Wilson, Josiejo Wilson, Mayzie Wilson; her special friend in life, Beth Jennings; maternal grandmother, Betty Eaves of Tennessee; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Angie was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Barnes; maternal grandfather, Walter W. Eaves; and many of her Barnes family members.
A Private Celebration of Life to remember Angie will be held in the spring of 2021 at the family home. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Muskegon Rescue Mission in memory of Angie.
