Mother Mary B. Martin, age 88 of White Cloud, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Mary was born on May 6, 1932 in Sledge, Mississippi and was raised by Mary and Dennis Mabry and moved to the White Cloud area at the age of 15. Mary later married J.B. Martin Jr. and J.B. preceded her in death. Mary had worked as a nurse's aide, a production worker at Wolverine Worldwide and later retired from the White Cloud Pubic Schools where she had been a cafeteria worker for several years at the White Cloud High School. Mary was an active member of the White Cloud Church of God in Christ where she was the Church Mother and oldest living member at the time of her passing. She volunteered countless hours with bake sales and other fundraising activities with the church and truly enjoyed reading her Bible and listening to Gospel music. Mary loved raising kids throughout her entire life. Mary is survived by her children, Mary Martin of Baldwin; J.B. (Tammy) Martin of Stanwood; Tracy Martin of Grand Rapids; Sara (Ray) Blackburn of Grand Rapids; Wilma Edwards of Grand Rapids; Wilbur (Karon) Martin of White Cloud; 19 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Martin Jr.; her son, Dennis Martin; her sister, Gertrude Mabry; her brothers, Dennis Mabry and Walter Johnson.
