Mary Ellen Smith, age 54 of Bitely, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at her home. Mary was born on July 16, 1950 in Madison, Wisconsin to Robert and Mary (Garritt) Dobson and has been a resident of the Bitely area for the past 16 years where she had been a homemaker and enjoyed cake decorating. She is survived by her son, Alan Dobson and special friend, Sandy Coon of Kalamazoo; her mother, Mary Dobson of Lancaster, Missouri; her brothers, Raymond (Mary) Dobson of Lancaster, Missouri; Robert Dobson of Trenton, Missouri; several nieces and nephews. Private services were held on Sunday, November 28, 2004 from the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with interment in the Christian Memorial Cemetery in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
