Mary Ellen Hall passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the age of 97. Born in Muskegon, Michigan to John and Mary (Hallberg) Conkle and married Robert Hall Sr in 1947. Mary spent her formative years in Bailey, Michigan before moving to Twin Lake, Michigan, where she became established in the community.

Mary was a remarkable woman who embraced many roles throughout her life. As a business owner, homemaker, township clerk, and waitress, she tirelessly dedicated herself to both her family and her community. Her talents and passions were diverse; she delighted in crafts, crocheting, painting, baking, cooking, and traveling, leaving behind a legacy of creativity and warmth.

Mary cherished her large family, nurturing relationships that spanned through five generations. She is survived by her loving children, Linda (Garey) Cruse of Missouri, James Hall of Pinconning, Peggy Stitt of Florida, Cheryl (Mike) Broton of Pennsylvania, and Dawn (Dwayne) Hall of Twin Lake, as well as her special step-daughters Laura of Muskegon and LIsa of Colorado. Her family also includes 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hall, beloved son, Bob Hall, and grandsons, Keith Jefferies and Frisco Hall.

At this time, cremation has taken place, and honoring Mary's wishes, there will not be a formal service. Arrangements have been provided by Crandell Funeral Home - Fremont Chapel.
