Hoebeke, Mary L. Mary L. Hoebeke, age 95, of Hesperia passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2002 , at her home following a long illness. She was born on September 16, 1907 , in Goodridge , Illinois to Oscar and Mary (St. Onge) Lavasseur and was a beloved homemaker. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in White Cloud. She is survived by her son, Joseph (Bert) McDonald of Brooksville, Florida; daughters, Dorothy (Earl) Ober of Howard City; Virginia Stillwell and Carl of Hesperia; Mary Dake and Frank of Hesperia; and Geraldine (Ronnie) Bidelman of Lansing; 26 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren; sister, Beatrice Montague of Jefferson, South Dakota. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Patricia Gleason and Rosemary McDonald; her husbands, Raymond McDonald and Gerald Hoebeke; 2 grandsons and 4 sisters. Funeral services were held on Monday, November 11, 2002 , from the Christ Lutheran Church in White Cloud with Rev. Richard Hoogerhyde officiating with interment in the White Cloud Cemetery.
