Mary Orpha (Hunt) Brandt, age 81 of Hesperia, passed away Sunday at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. She was born on July 22, 1922 in Gladwin to Freeman and Jessie (Bruner) Hunt and married Mural A. Brandt on Dec. 7, 1946. Mural preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 1983. She has been a longtime resident of the Hesperia area where she was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church. She had worked at Gerber Products Company until retirement and was well known for being a caregiver to her family. SURVIVORS : her children, Shirley (Robert) Wilkinson of Bitely; Norma Jean Fisher of Gaylord; Donald (Doris) Brandt of Twin Lake; Donna (Darrell) Youngs of Gaylord; Judy Kraus of Fremont; Gary Brandt of Valhalla, NY; her grandchildren, Diane (Rusty) Fulton; Cindy (Mike) Nichols; Joe (Leona) Wilkinson; Cheryl (Rebel) Payne; John Wilkinson; Wayne Brandt; Darren (Terri) Brandt; Tim Youngs; Brian (Ronna) Youngs; Bruce (Melanie) Youngs; Dennis Youngs; Jeanne (Jeff) Jones; Jason (Patti) Youngs; Mike (Desi) Kraus; Karen Kraus; Laurie (Jon) Boyd; Joe (Stacy) Kraus; Danny Kraus; Bobby Kraus; Mark Kraus; Craig (Shelly) Dykman; Michelle (Doug) Harmsen; Jeff (Stephanie) Brandt; 41 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Freeman (Mary) Hunt Jr.; Donald (LaVeda) Hunt; Thelma Fletcher; Delores (Don) Brown; Larry (Norma) Hunt; Donna (Doug) Vigna; Jerry (Betty) Hunt; her sister-in-laws, Gerry Hunt, Ila Hunt, Marion Bennett; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her children, Dennis Brandt and Kathryn Meyer; her grandson, Troy Dykman; brothers, Norman Hunt; Clifford Hunt; Walter Hunt; Leslie Hunt; Duane Hunt; her sisters, Nellie Slone; Rosalie Maynard; Mildred Winchel; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; several nieces and nephews Funeral Mass Services were held on Thursday, April 22, 2004 from the Christ The King Catholic Church in Hesperia with Rev. Father Mike Albers presiding with interment in the East Hesperia Cemetery.
