Mary E. Johnson, age 62, of Holton passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2009, in Holton. Mary was born on May 30, 1946, in Stanbaugh, Michigan, to Floyd and Genevieve May (Welton) Strong and married Homer Johnson on September 16, 1972. Mary had worked at Valspar in Fremont for over 15 years and loved to sew blankets for her family and friends. Mary is survived by her husband Homer of Holton; children, Joe Johnson of Twin Lake, Jeremiah Jerry Johnson of Hesperia, Floyd Johnson of Holton, and James (Jeran) Johnson on Holton; sisters, Laura Haynes and Loraine Longanbach of Lake Odessa; and brother, Robert Strong of Ohio. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at 6 p.m. from the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Holton.
