Mary Carolyn Lather, age 93 of Fremont, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont. Carolyn was born on March 9, 1921 and later married Jesse Lather on February 10, 1947 in Muskegon. Jesse preceded her in death on December 31, 1982. Carolyn had been a cook at the Gerber Memorial Hospital in Fremont for many years and was a member of the Fremont United Methodist Church. Carolyn is survived by several close friends in the Fremont area. A time of remembrance will be held at 7 PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at the Fremont United Methodist Church. Interment will take place at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri next to her husband, Jesse.
